Seasonal Updates From Our Powerboat Centre
Most of you will know we operate an RYA‑accredited powerboat centre here in Rock, based at the pontoon office on Rock Beach. For 2026, we’re excited to be expanding our offering with new intermediate and advanced courses - building on the ever‑popular Level 2 qualification and giving you the opportunity to further develop your skills, confidence and enjoyment on the water.
With the new season just around the corner, we’ll also be running refresher sessions led by our experienced instructors. Available by the hour, half day or full day, these sessions are designed to sharpen your safety awareness and improve your confidence navigating the estuary - particularly useful given the recent changes to channels and markers.
We hope these additions will inspire more of you to join our group trips further afield, where you can put your skills into practice and explore new waters with confidence.

Fresh Features For 2026
We’re delighted to be expanding our offering at the Powerboat Centre this season. One of the first additions is a small nautical shop, coming soon with a range of everyday marine essentials – from kill cords and batteries to ropes and more.
On The Horizon
A dedicated customer service vessel will also be launching this season, designed to support you on the water with advice, assistance and rapid response when you need it.
Alongside this, we’re aiming to reintroduce a small selection of sailing activities to the estuary this July and August. While plans are still being finalised, we’re excited to bring a touch of gentle, wind-powered fun back to the season.
Keep an eye out for more details in next month’s newsletter!
Whether you’re booking a course, planning a trip or just need some advice, we’re only ever a call or email away. We’re always happy to help.
